86 - Damping and Friction Coefficients

Measurements are made with the smartphone: first, the damping of a various amount of damping layers (e.g. sheets of paper) is investigated, and second, the coefficient of friction on an inclined plane is calculated for different weights.

Requirements:

• Smartphone
• numerous identical sheets of paper
• an inclined plane (eg wood plate)
• a ball (table tennis)
• an object that can be made of different weights (e.g. medium-sized plastic box)
